About the "Butterfly"
So you may be wondering why the church's logo is a butterfly.
At New Beginnings, we take 2 Corinthians 5:17 very seriously: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
When Pastor Eli first arrived at New Beginnings, he was adamant about developing a brand that was unique and would fall in line with what a new beginning would entail. After bouncing some ideas off of colleagues and friends, the concept of a butterfly emerged. As a caterpillar evolves into a butterfly, the idea of a butterfly representing a church looking to "evolve" from its former identity worked. However, Pastor Eli believed something was missing.
"It needs the cross," Pastor Eli explained. And just like that, the concept of the butterfly evolved. The cross in the middle symbolizes Christ's sacrifice. The butterfly wings represent those who believe in Christ "evolving" and becoming a better and newer version of themselves.
A completely different look than anything other churches provided, the church's Board unanimously approved the new logo. The New Beginnings butterfly is now a recognizable symbol and prominently displayed throughout the church.
